Hi there, I’m Atthena. I was a former investment banker and venture capital investor before I discovered that my purpose lied within the path of yoga. It was during deep meditation in India that it became clear that I was meant to help others through yoga and meditation and to spread spiritual truths and wisdom. To this day, that purpose still hasn’t changed. I gain so much joy in seeing students grow and am deeply fulfilled when I feel like I can be of help to someone.
I follow the path of Bhakti Yoga, a path of selfless love, devotion, and service to the divine. You can often find me downtown at The Bhakti Center in the Lower East Side. My guilty pleasures include kirtan (mantra music meditation), maha prasad (maha meaning “great” and prasad meaning “mercy” in Sanskrit) - items directly offered to or blessed by the Lord, and anything spiritual philosophy-related.
I am a Yoga Alliance Experienced RYT-500 and Continuing Education Provider. I graduated from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and studied finance and management.
Come say hi. Book a class, schedule a private, or organize a team event. I can’t wait to meet you :)
